About Woodford's Corner

Today, Woodford's Corner meets at the intersection of the Portland neighborhoods of Back Cove, Deering Center, and Oakdale. Although now part of Portland, it was part of the town of Falmouth until 1814, part of the town of Westbrook (then Saccarappa) until the area seceded to become the town of Deering in 1871, and then Portland when Deering was annexed by the City in 1899.
