Working with Mike O'Brien to sell my home was, in a word, fantastic. As you might imagine, selling a house in which you raised your family and lived for nearly three decades can be emotional and taxing. Add to that, in my case, an older home with a lot of challenges. During all this Mike was not only professional but always there on a personal level to offer support, suggestions, and clear guidance. I prefer people to give me straight-forward advice when offering a professional opinion and that is Mike. He was clearly sensitive to some of the more challenging aspects to selling our house, but his professional opinion was always clear and concise. As for the sale itself, it went off quickly and without a hitch. Mike was there every step of the way to ensure there were no problems and when we did find an issue or two (unrelated to Mike) he helped shepherd things through to the end. Words I would use to describe him are: professional, sensitive, friendly, decisive, thoughtful, and intelligent. Put them together in any order you wish, it all spells out someone worth working with. We recently bought a home in Maine while living across the country in Colorado, and we couldn't have done it without Mike O’Brien. From start to finish, he went above and beyond. Every showing was done over FaceTime, and he stayed in constant communication throughout the entire process. Mike was incredibly patient and truly took the time to understand our wants and needs. Mike is a go getter!! When he said he was going to get something done, I never once believed it wouldn't happen. Mike was always watching and patiently waiting for the perfect condo to pop up on the MLS. When something came on, he made certain I was on it, and in it, by that day or first thing the next day. When he found my new condo, he acted swiftly and got me right in. Within 30 minutes, we had a verbal agreement with the seller, and I was under contract that day. He has great negotiating skills and his goal was obvious...get me into a home that was perfect for me. He accomplished just that, keeping me laughing and positive even when things were getting frustrating. Mike is a man of his word, a person one can trust whole heartedly, and now my friend!

Mike was prompt, professional, and comprehensive in helping us find and purchase our first home. He listened to our preferences, understood what we were looking for very quickly, and never pushed us in any direction. He was thorough in the research he did to answer every question we had and very clear and patient in explaining the numerous steps involved to a couple of rookies. The first time I met Mike as he was walking up my driveway making a cold call looking for new clients I knew he was going to be my realtor, even though I hadn't thought about selling my house. His straightforward, low key, personal approach was apparent from our first meeting. Once I decided to put the house on the market Mike was my first call. It was a great decision. During our search, Mike's knowledge of the real estate market was extremely helpful in helping find our new home.
